Oh Hell scoring & score sheet.

Oh Hell scoring rewards an exact bid with 10 plus the tricks taken. A missed bid can earn zero or one point per trick, depending on your rules. Compare both below, then keep a four-player record.

Choose your Oh Hell scoring rule before dealing.

Under exact-bid scoring, matching your bid earns 10 plus the bid, and a miss earns zero. Under tricks-plus-bonus scoring, every trick earns a point and an exact bid adds another 10. A successful zero bid earns 10 in both systems.

Both are traditional variants; agree before dealing. Exact-only scoring makes the result a simple hit or miss. Counting every trick gives players a reason to keep taking tricks after an overshoot. Neither is the only correct Oh Hell scoring system. See Pagat’s comparison of Oh Hell scoring for other versions. This tool implements the two choices shown above.

How to fill in an Oh Hell score sheet.

  1. Choose a 13- or 19-round game, hand sequence, scoring rule, and dealer restriction. Add the four player names.
  2. Enter everyone’s bids before the first card of a round is played.
  3. After the round, enter the tricks taken. Their total must equal the hand size: five cards each means five tricks altogether.
  4. The sheet adds valid, complete rounds to each player’s total. Correct any highlighted round before including it.

Print a blank template to write on paper, print your filled results, or download a CSV. Printing uses your browser’s print dialog; “Save as PDF” works where your browser supports it.

Paper or a browser score sheet?

A printed score sheet works well when phones would interrupt the table. The browser tool helps when you want automatic totals or a check that all tricks have been recorded. It supports four players and the two scoring options shown here; for a different group size or penalty system, adapt a paper record to your house rules.

The sheet saves on this browser when storage is available. It does not sync between devices, and clearing site data removes it. It is separate from the game save and does not add to online-game statistics. Keep a printout or CSV if you want a permanent copy.
